Every Podium assessment is designed and maintained by qualified psychologists, working with independent scientific advisers and our technology team. PQ10 and GCAT have been independently reviewed and registered by the British Psychological Society.
Our Science Team
Carl Francis CPsychol AFBPsS
Director of Operations
Carl is a Chartered Psychologist and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, with an MSc in Occupational Psychology from Birkbeck, University of London. He maintains PQ10, GCAT and Derailers with Pakeezah, and contributes to the development of Podium's assessments, including GCAT and bespoke situational judgement tests and 360 surveys. He also designs and delivers Podium's test-user training, and has delivered BPS/EFPA test-user training around the world for more than 20 years. Before joining Podium in 2019 he worked as an occupational psychologist and Head of UK Operations at Psytech International.

Psychometrician
Pakeezah is a research psychologist and psychometrist who specialises in developing and validating psychological assessments, and producing technical documentation to EFPA and international standards. She works with Carl on the ongoing maintenance of PQ10, GCAT and Derailers. She holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Pretoria, where she is a Research Associate, and was named an International Test Commission Early Career Scholar in 2024. Before joining Podium she was a Product and Research Specialist and Senior Researcher at JVR Psychometrics.

Specialist Consultant
Glenn holds a PhD in Psychology in the quantitative analysis of behaviour, and combines psychometrics with more than 20 years in technology, including data analysis at Microsoft and lecturing at the University of Otago. He is one of the creators of GCAT and led Podium as Managing Director from 2018 to 2021.

Dr Nigel Guenole

Nigel is a psychologist specialising in psychometrics and AI for psychological measurement, and the author of Psychometrics.ai. He helped design PQ10, GCAT and Derailers, and led the PQ10 research programme described in its technical manual.

Laurence is an occupational psychologist and the founder of Psytech International, with an MA in Occupational Psychology from the University of Sheffield and more than 45 years' experience as an occupational psychologist.

Research Collaborator (Formerly Director of Applied Research)
Tariq is an industrial/organisational psychologist with a Master of Applied Industrial/Organisational Psychology from Colorado State University. As Podium's Director of Applied Research and Product Development from 2017 to 2021 he led Podium's team of developers and I/O psychologists, and he is lead author of Podium's integrity research.
