Where We Do Use AI
AI does three jobs at Podium, and each one has a person checking its work.
Building Assessments
AI helps our psychologists draft and translate questions, map an organisation's competency framework onto our scales, suggest ideal profiles for a role and produce the scenario videos used in Leadership Insights.
Human Check
A psychologist reviews and approves everything AI drafts before it is used in a live assessment.
Protecting Test Integrity
Facial Validation uses AI to check that a single candidate stays present and on camera, flagging moments with no face or more than one face. Alongside it, the Confidence Score, a behavioural index rather than AI, looks for signs of outside help in how a test is taken.
Human Check
Flags are evidence for a person to review. Neither system makes automated decisions, and every flagged session goes to a qualified reviewer.
Helping People Read Results
Administrators can choose to generate an AI summary of a participant's results. It is written only from scores that have already been calculated, and never includes names or other identifying details. An AI assistant in our management platform also helps administrators find data, build charts and prepare documents.
Human Check
Summaries are optional, labelled as AI-generated and carry a reminder that they should not be the sole basis for any employment, development or organisational decision.

No AI scores, ranks or makes decisions about candidates.
Every score a candidate receives comes from established psychometric scoring, set against norm groups. Video interviews are watched and scored by people. AI never shortlists candidates, screens anyone out or recommends who to hire.
Safeguards
